Todays story:

With the new year approaching and in a trance of cleaning my Hasselblad image my mind did wander of and thought about the future and what i want to do. Thinking about the plan to cycle around the world. A plan i made after my return from a year in Australia. Cycling and making pictures. That ain't gonna happen but i feel a strong need to do something again. It might be a run a way from my situation, being unemployed and not finding a job. But does that matter? Walking might be better than cycling cause my experience with walking trips is that i'm closer to the ground and more in contact with were i am. More one with my surrounding. Something like a pelgrimage to Rome. Not to Santiago des compostella. Thats to trendy. I have this book of a pelgrimage Francis of Assisi. Thats gonna be my subject and route. But without organising anything. Just pack my backpack and walk. Only organise a budget, being in shape and learning background info, reading books about Francis.
